I was dying to pop open that bottle of Dunham Cabernet. So I sous vide some steaks and we had the Yuen’s over for dinner. The boys insisted on wrestling with me which was made easier on the new lawn. I asked for portraits afterwards. This was also my 1st chance to use my new Godox SL60W constant LED in a softbox.

I almost forgot the goyablog has made its 5 year anniversary. There are a total of 752 posts since May of 2007. I actually started in June but the 1st post was backdated. Over the years some have had the opinion that this is a single page blog. You have access to every post via the archive on the right or better yet the search at the top right.

Having decided to replace our refrigerator, we thought we’d give the Koreans a try as I’ve heard good things about them. Shortly after it was installed, it I heard Sandy scream from the kitchen. Apparently the water dispenser shot a stream of water at her. We cleaned it up but sure enough “Sammy” has continued to dispense about a quart of water a day. We have a service call in place. Meanwhile I have connected a tubing on the dispenser leading to a bucket to catch all the run off. We call it a catheter.

Got the latest version of Photoshop but it will not let me login so the blog is temporarily stalled  til I can get that resolved.

It was inevitable, the development behind us is winding down. I haven’t decided if the blocking of the evening wind is worth change in our view.

A loyal reader asked me today about the lack of updates on the blog. Allow me to explain…
I wanted to upgrade my PC from the old duo core E6700 to a new i7 960. Problem is I bought a used motherboard via Amazon and I as was about to install it I noticed the CPU socket pins were bent. The seller refutes this claim and I had to send it off to the manufacturer for a third opinion. Until then I’m using Sandy’s PC which doesn’t have Adobe Photoshop. But I should post anyway.

If you didn’t know, Sandy teaches Sunday school at the local church. Apparently on the last day of school one of her students presented her with a portrait. Uh I don’t know if I see the likeness, nonetheless it was very thoughtful.

I believe in being a consumer, after all its what keeps this economy rolling. As such that means I get my share of catalogs. This is especially true during the holiday season. While watching the news tonight there was a PSA for catalogchoice.org, which is a opt-out catalog service. I quickly ran upstairs and gathered all my catalogs and entered them individually into the database. I soon hope there will be more trees. But that means more squirrels! I can’t win.
