HB Jen

Happy Birthday Jen. We celebrated at Rick & Jen’s,  enjoyed bacon wrapped filets & blew off some steam with Beatles Rock Band. Unfortunately I never got a good shot of Jen.

Fryday Date Night

This Friday we met in downtown Alameda to try out our new Indian restaurant, Flavors of India. It was also a test day for the G11. In good light the G11 is great, the jury is still out on the low light stuff.

Blue Heron

I spotted a Blue Heron this morning. I suspect he was investigating the Skunk incident. I inquired but he gave no comment and flew away.

Jake

Last night we had the pleasure of seeing Jake Shimabukuro live at the Davies Symphony Hall. I picked up Sandy and we had a quick bite at Stelline. I had the cannelloni & Sandy had the chicken. Davies is a stunning hall which made the concert experience even more thrilling. I can’t say enough about …

Skunk Hit

I saw this from my bedroom window and swear I had nothing to do with it. It looks more like a Skunk Mafia thing. I guess is he was a snitch.

Oakland Zoo 2009

After breakfast we drove straight to our local zoo. While I told Sandy it was to see the animals… really it was a test for the 7D.

It’s a Beautiful Morning

I woke early this morning to water the plants and get ready for our trip to the zoo. We tried a new place for breakfast, Shay’s Cafe. Sandy had a fruit crepe and I had a salmon, tomato, cheese & pesto omelet.

1st 7D Test

Got a chance to test out my new 7D. It has an APS-C sized sensor. Why would I go away from a full frame sensor? Speed and shooting on the telephoto end, that’s why. This morning we walked to LaPinata and unfortunately it was a bit gloomy so there wasn’t very much activity except for …
