Birthday 2010
Today I honored Sandy’s birthday by going to LaPinata for brunch. The birthday gurl had corned beef hash (at a Mexican restaurant?) and a Mexican hot chocolate, I had the chorizo burrito. I’ve been belching it up all day.
Broken Tomato
Today in moderate wind I watched as my upsidedown tomato thingie broke off at the main stem and fell to the ground. I’ll never be able to eat a salad without thinking of what could have been. Son of a biscuit!
Neighbors II
Tonight we had Paul & Brenda over for dinner as Sandy had some church business to tend to with them. We served our standard grilled chicken and Paul brought over his smoked salmon, oh it was so good. Judy just got a plain corn tosada shell, no salt…wimp

Angel Fish Sushi
Auntie Amy & Cait came by yesterday to pick up a table. We decided to go to our favorite Angel Fish for sushi. I think we ate too much.
Mutha’s Day 2010
This year the Mutha’s Day festivities were held at Rick & Jen’s. Thanks R & J.
Life is Good
Last night we made the trek to Yoshi’s in the city. We had dinner and then attended Jon’s performance. While the food was okay the music was incredible, even though it wasn’t jazz! I can’t help but feel lucky to have good friends, family and a cousin that kicks butt on the piano. Jon opens …
Friday Night Concert
Last night we headed on down to HP Pavilion in San Jose to see the Eagles. I haven’t seen them since 1996. We picked up Kathy and had dinner at Taqueria Tlaquepaque. I ate too much so the girls rolled me out and threw me in the trunk. The next thing I remember we were …
Porkey & Scallop
In preparation for Mutha’s Day celebration, I tried a couple crispy pork belly recipes. After two failures I think I have the right one. Sandy also tried her seared scallops & fennel dish.
