Tonight I tried to duplicate that Pilipino Pork BBQ that Sandy loves so much. Uh I’m not quite there yet.
Had to work in Greenbrae today. I decided to try and shoot a pano of the GG Bridge. To overcome that pesky fence I mounted my G11 on a monopod and held it high over my head. The fence is an eyesore and the pano is crooked, but I’ll get it one day.
Okay it was bothering me so I fixed it.
In an effort to better our health I’ve decided to initiate Meatless Mondays. I usually steer clear of the veggie dishes as I find them bland (unless it’s Indian food), but I had to try. So tonight with the help of my photo cookbook on my iPad I made a grilled portabella mushroom and polenta dish topped with a poached egg. Unfortunately it was bland as h*ll and I couldn’t finish my dinner… so I ate 4 slices of cinnamon bread. Hey there’s no meat in it! Yes I’ll keep trying.
Had a visitor today… Sandy talked me into letting him leave the property with just a warning. I almost threw him in the lagoon.
The Miltonia is blooming…
Today we decided to run up to Santa Rosa because we have never been to the Sonoma County Fair. Â We were looking participate in a sophisticated cultural event… okay it was really to see Splash Dogs, Acro-Cats and maybe even get in a Derby Dog Dash.
Tonight we celebrate our 2nd annual Annibirthery. August is the month for Rick & Jon’s birthdays, as well as wedding anniversaries for the Kung’s, Yuen’s & the Goya’s. This year we met at the Crouching Tiger in Redwood City.
From this morning…
Today we met for lunch at Max’s in Milpitas. After a 45 minute wait, we dined on Lumpia fresh and fried, Fried Chicken, Pancit, Sisig & laing. I got so excited I forgot to photograph everything. We’ll be eating leftovers for dinner.
About a year ago I purchased a Miltonia orchid at the hospital in Walnut Creek. The flowers were in bloom and I figured that will be the only time I see it, but unexpectedly it appears to be ready to bloom. I’d love to be able to tease my Father about this.
