The life and times of a true knucklehead – No photos to be used without permission
Judy has made a New Year resolution to become more social and not be such a fraiddy cat!
We had a low key New Years Eve celebration. But we started 2008 started with a nice brunch. We invited Tita Nellie and Doctors Ben & Paulette over for brunch and for whatever reason we decided to serve a five-course meal. Of course I forgot to take a single photo of the dishes. I was happy everyone seemed to enjoy the meal and no one got diarrhea.
Today Daddy wanted to go wine tasting in Napa. I got a recommendation to try a famous restaurant in Rutherford but by the time we got there it was an hour wait. So we drove down the road and ended up at “Go Fish“. The food and service were excellent. I loved the sturgeon, the roasted banana rum ice cream sandwich was to die for.
Our bellies were so full after that we scrubbed the wine tasting and drove home.
According to Jon, this year’s Christmas Party marked its 3oth anniversary.
Jimi made a great salad & soup combo that included my favorite duck confit. More importantly the white beans were fermenting all throughout the night. Come on admit it!
Afterwards we revived the card game a**hole, in which I ended up the… well you know.
Later we played “Werewolf” where unfortunately a lot of innocent lives were lost.
Last but not least, we had the Gag Gift exchange. I was proud of my Dunham Host moldy chocolates. I think Tami was disgusted. 😎
This year we went to Auntie Amy’s for Christmas Eve. As she usually does, there was enough food to feed ten families and everything was terrific.
After dinner Jen & Rick whipped out their Wii unit. Now I’m not into video games but I’ll have to admit I had fun.
Special Thanks to Lyle for not rubbing us the wrong way. Your massages are incredible.
Jim needed a shot for photo frame so I quickly banged out a few. This is my favorite shot.
There’s such a neighborhood light display here in Alameda I thought I’d shoot a few. In the back of my mind I’m thinking how much electricity is this demanding… ah what the heck, it’s the ding dang Christmas spirit.
While not as good as Jim’s, here’s our Christmas Card offering. Merry Christmas!
Ok last day of my do nothing vacation.
I BARTed into the city to pick up Sandy. We had an early dinner at the Slanted Door. Then we shot on over to the SFO to greet Mommy & Daddy in between flts from Manila to San Diego.
All of this running around and I didn’t take a single photo!
