Sat out this morning coffee in one hand 7D2 in the other. Not a big fan of coots but they were very active. It must be mating season. So do they fly or walk on water?

Cormorant poop @ 10fps
Its so easy to shoot burds in our backyard. Cormorants are playful and very active. They are either diving for fish or spreading the wings in the sun My Sony A6000 can capture 10fps (frames per second) I’ll spare you all the poop shots but I knew he would do this, the bastard.
Sow Bug/Woodlouse/Pill Bug/Roly Poly
Noticed a sow bug on the ground while I was working in the yard… So I shot em. I can’t tell you how difficult this is. The front element of my lens (M-PE 65mm) is so close and every time it moves, I have to shift the tray then refocus. It’s a pain in the …
Tamron 150-600mm
I get most all my lenses used via Ebay and this Tamron 150-600mm is no exception. I’ve only had one opportunity to use it but shows promise. Of course when I use this on my 7D2 it has a 240-960mm equivalent.
Samage
Just on a whim I asked if I could shoot Sam. Bill quickly brought him over.
Canine Model Shoot
Did our regular thing. Got Koa, lather rinse repeat, pick up her crap & shoot portraits. I wanted to get some grossly distorted wide angle shots, but she had other things on the agenda. She’s such a princess.
Buggy
I’ve been sick all week and I’m going crazy with nothing to do… Got some bugs from the backyard an asked if I could shoot a few portraits of them. They graciously agreed. This is so hard to get sharp focus as my eyesight is horrible these days.
Koa Portraits
During a Koa dogsitting adventure I decided to test my 2 new cameras. The photo on the left is from the Canon G7X and the photo on the right is from the Sony A6000.
Jenn & Dodger
I haven’t shot a portrait in awhile so what better time than now! Luckily our neighbor Jennifer was willing and I asked her bring Dodger. I couldn’t have chosen a worse day. The wind prevented me from using any light modifiers on my speedlites. I was just about to send her a text message to …
Middle-aged burd
I spotted this burd as I dropped Sandy off at the ferry terminal. I raced back home and grabbed my camera & much to my surprise it hadn’t moved an inch. I waited for the sun to come up and shot him. He has this middle-aged balding man hairdo kinda thing going on.
