Our Christmas gatherings are getting quite large. It was so nice to see everyone laugh and over eat.
Thanks to Sandy for the additional photos.
The life and times of a true knucklehead – No photos to be used without permission
Our Christmas gatherings are getting quite large. It was so nice to see everyone laugh and over eat.
Thanks to Sandy for the additional photos.
Hopefully a new tradition is born. Unfortunately our small dining room limited the guest list.
Thanks to Sandy, Alan & Tom for the additional photos.
We started a tradition of having dinner with Alan & Mona about this time last year. So this year we hosted with a steak meal.
Thanks to Sandy for the photos.
This year we invaded the Yuen house. Sandy made a burrata appetizer and lumpia. I made baguettes and a butternut squash cheesecake. As usual I didn’t take enough photos.
Thanks to Sandy for the additional photos.
Shot a sunset and a moonset a couple of days apart.
Seems like years since we have all been together.
Thanks to Jim for the photos.
While on a morning walk I snapped a quick photo of this American Century Plant that must have been 20 feet tall. The intention was to come back during sunset. Well sunset wasn’t very good.
I try not to write about hardware as I don’t feel it makes much of a difference these days. Many years ago I stopped buying the latest and greatest cameras. Recently I’ve settled in on the smaller APC-C ones. For fast moving subjects definitely the Sony A6600, but for everything else my trusty Canon EOS-M6 mk II. This 33MP camera came out in 2019 and the extra pixels comes in handy when I have to crop. Sadly today Canon finally discontinued the EOS-M line.
Collecting dust is my 2017 Canon G1X mk III and the 2019 Sony RX100 VII, along with it’s full frame brother the 2015 RX1RII.
Every year I get lazier than the previous year. I thought it would better to go as late as possible to avoid burning in the sun. I only had about 20 seconds to prepare for this shot on Saturday.
Sunday I brought a different camera to get right under the action, but forgot to bring the viewfinder. Sometimes I really suck at this photography thing.
The sunrise looked promising on my morning walk so I ran out.
