Full Weekend
We stopped by to see Mom then drove down to Temecula to see Cheryl, then the Dalisay Wedding and finally a quick visit with Tawny. I’m so tired.
Humming Bird Feeder
We installed a feeder for the humming birds that like to frequent our backyard. In the past they have always ignored it, so I didn’t expect much. Sandy made a “special” food formula that brought in a single hummer multiple times. I spent the next hour waiting and in the span of about 30 seconds …
Hummer Visit
Humphrey paid us a visit to our front door cam. Not sure what he was trying to tell us. Perhaps the bird feeder is empty.
Stanford University
Drove out here tonight with the goal of photographing the Hoover Tower and in the process got to see an extremely rare Kitty Shark.
Church Lady & the Burd
Sandy had a church event, and since she doesn’t get a chance to “dress up” very often I decided to shoot her. Of course she asked for Minnie Pearl to be included 🤦🏻♂️.
Beak Brain
Minnie Pearl will sit for hours under Sandy’s chair as she works on her computer. She can be quite moody, so I shot this “moody” portrait.
Burdsday
Today by some stroke of luck the burd photography gods granted me the opportunity to shoot that ever so shy female kingfisher in the backyard that I’ve been chasing forever. Also later in the day, what I believe was a hairy woodpecker right in front of Paul & Brenda’s.
Smoky sweltering days
We’re going through a heatwave here and it’s quite unpleasant. Even the burds are looking for shade. On top of that the smoke from all the fires are making the air horrible.
