Jon had a Christmas Eve party planned… Then just about everyone pulled out. We dropped by for a quick “Hi” & photos, but ended up staying for quite awhile (rapid test negative). On the technical side, I was getting some stray light that created all sorts of issues with the skin tones so I converted …
I did my 1st photoshoot without taking my camera outta the bag. Steve asked for some assistance so we ended up using his A7III the whole time. Steve did a movie poster for us.
The family finally decided to get together, so Jon had a Christmas Party in July since we skipped it last December. I had a hard time breaking away from socializing to take a few portraits.
Tom asked for family portraits and I gladly agreed. The Veterans Memorial Park was to be the venue. Because of the youngsters we agreed on 4:00PM, which was a lighting challenging to say the least. My 600 watt strobe was under powered for the group shot.

With all the bad 💩 that’s happening I needed something to cheer me up, so as an ongoing project I scheduled a few shoots with our neighbors for Christmas cards. For us the sunset was horrible, but we had a limited number of weekend days before Christmas so we decided to go at the last …
I’m not sure how Halloween will play out this year, but I wanted to do something nice for our neighbor Keira. This was especially true when I heard that she likes Mulan, so we did a photoshoot. It’s been so long since I did a shoot, I was a bit off my game. That only …
Today we had a visit from Sandy’s cousin Ging. It’s hard to believe this is the 1st time I’ve met her. We tried something different this time, a constant light in a softbox with a clamshell configuration using a Westcott Eyelighter for fill. Sandy was shooting the photos remotely with an iPad Pro.
