Larissa’s 18th

Last night we had the honor of attending Larissa’s 18th Birthday. My how time flies. I was reminded of my age when I saw the youngsters dancing and my failing eyesight when checking the settings on my camera. Luckily Sandy took some great photos that saved my butt.

Golden Gate

Had some work in Marin so I poked around the northern part of the Golden Gate Bridge today. Of course it was around the noon hour…terrible time to shoot photos.

Mum’s Day 2009

This year we didn’t have the advantage of having my cousin Jimi the professional chef, so we all had to step up and create a dish for our Mum’s Day 6 course brunch. After all the eating, it turned into a dog day afternoon with all the attention on Koa & Coyote Baker.

Ferry

We took the ferry into San Francisco yesterday to find a doctor to fix Brian’s eyes. We gave up on that and ate at Taylor’s instead. I got my 1st chance to try out my new Canon SX200IS. I like my G10 better.

Cait Land

Today we celebrated Caitlin’s birthday at our home in Alameda. The sun was out but it was a bit windy so we crowded in our dining area to enjoy a meal together. We gave diners the choice of  Ribeye Steak accompanied by mashed potatoes loaded with 3 cheezes and bacon, grilled asparagus, or Halibut on …

Andersen’s Pea Soup

We’ve all seen driving down I5. I thought I would stop this time and take a photo. Hard to get a good angle though.

Backyard Burds

I spent a good portion of my day out in the backyard shooting photos of birds. It was my 1st test of my new Canon 100-400m IS Lens. It performed quite well.

Albany Waterfront Trail

I’ve been wanting to go here ever since I saw the photos from Google Earth. This is a hard place to describe. It’s a dog park, junkyard, urban art gallery, homeless camp kinda place. I was inspired by Tawny’s graffiti hike. I strolled the wilderness looking for and finally finding the most unusual artwork.
