We ran out to the local carnival by Oracle Arena to get some nightshots with my G1X.
Today marks my 51st Birthday. Unfortunately I couldn’t get the day off so I figured I’d treat myself throughout the day. My morning started with Sandy handing me a lovely heart felt Birthday card.
After a call in Rancho Cordova I stumbled upon a Pho eatery and while the Pho was just ok this poster on the wall caught my attention (you have to say it fast). After I got home I had to make my own Bday dinner… Mmmm gotta be ribeye steak with shitake mushroom gravy. I was so focused on the gravy I forgot about the asparagus. We’ll eat it tomorrow.
To continue our Japanese weekend, Sandy was nice enough to make rezzies at Morimoto’s in Napa. I couldn’t have asked for a nicer gift.
Cait set up a Orenchi Birthday dinner for me, thanks Cait. We had to get there early as the line starts before they even open. Needless to say the ramen was superb.
Rick & Jen had some good news for us as well.
After pruning the tree in the backyard I was in no mood to cook so that always means a trip to our local Angel Fish.
Took today off and promised myself I would go out and shoot some photos. After I walked Sandy to the ferry, I shot a few by the water. I wasn’t in the right position for the morning sun with regards to the rowers.
If you are reading this that means Sandy hasn’t killed me cause I just ordered the Mark III as it was announced today. Also a matching strobe 600EX RT. I just sold my Mark II to Sandy’s cousin the other day.
We were in Dublin today so we decided to give Johnny Garlic’s a try. Reviews were mixed.
It was inevitable, the development behind us is winding down. I haven’t decided if the blocking of the evening wind is worth change in our view.
Sandy owns an iPhone and the AT&T signal in our house is terrible. The same is true for my iPad. What’s odd is I can see the cell tower from the guest bedroom. So in previous wall opening session for speaker installations I noticed horizontal metal bars throughout the walls. Anyway not to get technical, in order to get a better signal I was looking into a cell phone repeater, but that meant I’d have to run cables through the walls mount an antenna in the attic. I had the items in my Amazon cart for months as I dreaded doing that. One day I just happened to stumble upon an AT&T Microcell. This unit has an antenna and it routes cell signals from your phone to your router. We had it for a few weeks and we haven’t had any dropped calls. It is only for the iPhone though.
