Today in moderate wind I watched as my upsidedown tomato thingie broke off at the main stem and fell to the ground. I’ll never be able to eat a salad without thinking of what could have been. Son of a biscuit!

Yesterday our first family of ducklings appeared. Sadly one of the seven got eaten right in front of Sandy. We remain hopeful.
