Everyone thinks it’s glamorous to fly and work in Hawaii. I tell everyone it’s not what it’s cracked up to be and no one believes me. So join me on a trip to Honolulu via my employer. Monday 1:12PM – Receive text message, instrument down in the lab. Troubleshoot over the phone while driving home …

Puttin’ on the Ritz
To celebrate 2010 we decided to spend New Years Day at the Ritz at Half Moon Bay. We reserved a suite and shared it with Mommi & Daddy. Dinner was at Navio in the hotel. I ran into Tyler Florence at the entrance, I was so excited I didn’t think to photograph him. We savored …
Headphones
I’ve never understood why people settle for the cheap stock headphones/earbuds that come with every consumer portable audio device. This last trip to Oregon I lost my Bose earbuds. This is probably the 4th time I’ve either lost or destroyed a great pair of headphones while traveling. Let’s see, great audio and the heart wrenching …

Geo’s outta here
Forever banished from the house for using my iron skillet to cook scrambled eggs! I got so mad I put his butt on a plane to the Philippines! He’s never allowed back. Just joking. Geo’s vacation sadly had to come to an end. We ate at Firewood Grill at the international terminal. Sandy munched on …
Animal House

Burd in the Oven

Christmas Day
I was on call from 10PM to 4AM, got 2 hrs of sleep then drove Sandy to the airport at 7:30AM to fly off to San Diego. I’m tired… and did I mention sick too.
Iron Chef
Every night is like an episode of Iron Chef. Tonight while Sandy was out at church, I had the task of making dinner. Of course I waited til the last minute. Luckily Sandy went shopping yesterday so it was a simple matter of throwing things together. Lamb was the secret ingredient. Unfortunately I didn’t know …
Sunset
I don’t really like being in front of the camera but tonights sunset left some very nice colors and I was home alone. So I took out my trusty G11 and set up a single off camera strobe with a shoot thru umbrella. Set the cam ISO for 400, TV 1/15th of a second.
