Freda arrived in SFO today fresh from her trip to visit Alex in Korea. Upon arrival, she demanded to be taken to Goldilocks… I think she had to stock up on munchies. Thanks for the gifts of Korean tea, Spam, pottery and the shirt. Sadly, everyone is leaving for South Carolina tomorrow. We’ll miss them …

UC Berkeley
Since Tawny is out here college shopping, we asked Tami give us a personal tour of the UC Berkeley campus. I had no idea of the size of the campus. I was so tired from walking we had to eat at Raleighs.
Happy Birthday Steve
Steve invited us to a joint birthday celebration today at Tilden Park. We hardly knew anyone, but warm and friendly is always the M.O. at Steve’s parties. Of course Steve doesn’t act like your typical 60 year old, but that’s why we love him. The rest of the photos.
LeCheval
WooHoo! LeCheval tonight for dinner. We finally got to use that gift certificate, thanks Tom & Peneli. The food was excellent as usual. Tawny even tried the snake juice!
Duck Pigs
Photo on the left was taken on 6/27/07. Photo on the right is from today, same ducks. The mother is now pushed out to the back in the daily scramble for food. They are scratch eating machines, or should I say pigs! Soon enough, these pigs will learn to fly.
After dinner run
After a big caldereta dinner, Tawny went for a run around the island while Sandy & Alex struggled to keep up on bikes. I laid on the couch.
Aloha
We got tired of Freda so we sent her off to Korea, then we partied at the Aloha Festival in the Presidio. We consumed large portions of Kalua Pork, BBQ Chicken, Lau Lau and Spam Musubi. Later we drove out to Fort Point at the Golden Gate Bridge.
Strawberry Festival
Today Freda, Tawny & Aleki arrived from South Carolina. We had lunch at Goldilock’s, then headed straight to the Monterey Strawberry Festival. Uh… it was a bit smaller than I imagined but nonetheless we had a fun time. This was followed by dinner at our favorite Phó eatery.
It’s Official
Last Sunday, we attended the reception of Stephen & Anna in Rossmoor. We had a great time and we wish them all the happiness in the world. I’ll post more photos later
Idaho 2007
This year’s short vacation was in Idaho, home of Famous Potatoes. We planned this to coincide with the chamber music series at the Sun Valley Lodge in which Jon was playing. We rarely get to see Jon so we decided to tag along. We flew into Boise and drove 2½ hours to Sun Valley. Now …
