I have been trying to photograph a Belted Kingfisher for quite some time now. She has proven to be quite elusive. She always announces her arrival with a loud heckle, but the second she sees me she bolts. I will get a decent photo if it’s the last thing I do…

Labor Day 2015
This year we had Labor Day at Jon & Kathy’s. Of course the focus is always on the kids especially with our new family addition Ethan.
Hawkish
Did my usual morning thing. Coffee in one hand camera in the other. Noticed 2 hawks go back and forth diving into the field. So I ran out there and attempted to get a little closer. I don’t know if it is a Coopers or Redtail Hawk.
Bugging

Annibirthery 2015
August is a busy month as we celebrate Rick, Jon & Ethan’s birthday. Wedding anniversaries for the Yuen’s, Kung’s & us. This year we went to NOLA in Palo Alto.
Perbacco
Been wanting to come here for quite awhile, so after my Canon Macro class (right across the street) we had a lovely dinner.
Dragonfly

Your fly is down
Caught this huge fly fornicating on my guava tree so I caught em and shot em. MP-E 65mm f/2.8 1-5x Macro with a MT-24EX flash.
Barin Reunion 2015

June Lake 2015
Our neighbors Paul & Brenda were gracious enough to invite us to their cabin at June Lake this past weekend. Silver Lake Sunday was church day in Lee Vining. While the others were at church, I shot some beat up old houses nearby. Then it was on to Mono Lake. A very unusual place. Highly …
