Down in LA for training. Best thing about being stuck at the office is I get to have lunch with my beautiful buddy Mary Ann. BTW her desk is outta control. On Wednesday night, I had dinner with Tawny. Her choice was Natas Pastries in Sherman Oaks. This was my first exposure to Portuguese food …

Oakland Restaurant Week 2012
Tonight we met up with Aunty Sachi & Uncle Russell. We decided to take advantage of Oakland’s Restaurant week. Aunty chose Camino on Grand Avenue. The prefix menu was vegetarian which is something I usually shy away from, but I’m trying to eat better so I went ahead and tried it. I ended up eating …
3 Days in Reno
Jon had a concert scheduled in Reno so we decided tag along and spend the weekend. We stayed at the Siena right across the venue. I had a bit of work to do in town on Friday and was lucky enough to have dinner with Arlene at Da Vinci’s in the hotel. Sandy flew in …
Noah’s Christmas Portrait
Now that Christmas morning has passed I can post Noah’s portrait that Tami & Chris asked me to shoot for a Christmas present. I love this tugging on his socks shot. He so cute!
Christmas Eve 2011
This year Jon & Kathy got bullied into hosting Christmas Eve, by Aunty Karen. She also made Jimi cook dinner? As I mentioned earlier I have to get better at shooting portraits so I used this opportunity to try a few. I lugged a car full of equipment so I could try some new gear. …
Noah’s 1st Thanksgiving

The newest family member
I’d like to introduce Alicia Maria Kinney, just 2 weeks old. We drove up to Folsom to photograph her. Sandy asked me if this was gonna be a complex setup with lights & sandbags. Luckily yesterday I received my new 4 square softbox in the mail. My friend Jim turned me on to this great …
Jen’s Bday
Today we celebrated Jennifer’s birthday at Ed’s Teriyaki. I had the teriyaki cheesesteak, I know that sounds strange but it was actually pretty darn good. Of course Noah was getting all the attention.
Lazy Saturday
Today we met Aunty Amy, Cait, Chris, Tami & Noah at the Blue Dot Cafe & Coffee Bar for a late breakfast. Then we brought Aunty Amy to the local farmers market and we walked away with a carnivorous orchid which I have yet to ID. While photographing the orchid, I happened to look down …
Honolulu Oct 2011
Semi annual maintenance is what brought me to the islands this time. Or maybe it was the ramen. For whatever reason lately I’ve been on this ramen kick and my photos reflect this trend. I finally got my free cup of coffee from the Honolulu Coffee Company, it only took 2 years to accomplish this. …
