Today we presented Mommi with her new Dell laptop. We are actively setting up an email account and a crash course in all things digital. I loaded open office BTW a free MS Office compatible software suite. Well actually I donated 20 euros to the organization.

Today we picked up Tawny and drove to Japantown to checkout Nihonmachi. We ate like pigs and of course I had to buy some more mochi!

Our beautiful niece Tawny is here for the weekend to participate in the outside lands music/food/wine/art festival. The only reason I agreed to pick her up from the airport is she promised to bring goodies from Portos Bakery.

Tonight we met Uncle Russell and Aunty Sachi for dinner at Asena here in downtown Alameda. Let’s see pear martini, endive salad, gnocchi, panna cotta & liquored up coffee.

Today we celebrated Sandy’s Birthday. I suggested going to Taco Bell and she could order anything off the dollar menu… She instead wanted to go to Tribu in Union City.
Yank Sing
We had a mini Italian reunion this morning at Yank Sing in San Francisco. The Dim Sum was excellent and of course it was great to see the Asato’s.
