During my annual PBS pledge drive I happen to receive a gift certificate for Elizabeth Spencer Wines. Well today we decided to redeem it and what better couple to take with us than Paul & Brenda. We walked out of there with a nice cab and then shuttled over to Long Meadow Ranch for lunch.

6963 mile Lengua Throwdown
When I taste something good, I try to recreate it while adding my own touch. Mommi’s lengua is one of those dishes. Now while Mommi was not here we thawed a portion from the freezer. I topped mine with 3 types of mushrooms. In fairness I should wait til her next visit for the actual throwdown.
Fort McKinley
Tonight we met up with Rom & Carmina as they were on their way home. We took them to Fort McKinley.

Yesterday we attended Tjader’s 1st Birthday Party. It was a nautical theme!
Sens
Last Friday I ferried in to the city to have a dinner date with Sandy. We met at Sens on the Embarcadero. While we felt very old during the very loud happy hour. I have to say they served the best octopus dish ever.
Burday
We spent all day surrounded by burdz. After getting Vega & Cosmo cleaned up we returned them back to Jim & Kelly. Then went to dinner at the Tribune Tower in Oakland.
Andrea
Tonight we met up with Andrea & Karl at Speisekammer. We are not well versed in German fuud so Andrea was the perfect dinnermate. It was also a chance to test my new SL1.
Tawny is in town
