Friday in the Philippines

Today was a full day, got home past 10p after hanging out with Dido & family. Before that, I dropped in at SEC to attend noon mass with Mom. Then we met Dad for lunch at a Japanese restaurant. To torture me, he had uni and toro. I had ika. Mommy liked the edamame. Then …

Pilipino Day #1

Got an email from Sandy… Hi hun, So far so good. Everyone met me at the airport, including Pinky who jumped between departure and arrival terminals just to see me before flying out to Hong Kong. I’m being overfed. Breakfast #2 was longganisa, eggs, rice, tamales. Daddy made me a special coffee blend of half brewed …

Ate Ina

Today we were lucky enough to get a visit from Ate Ina. In her honor, I decided to grill a 10lb Rib Roast (2hrs). OMG I think I’m gonna have a meat hangover tomorrow.

Burger

Had a slow day today, so I ventured into downtown Alameda and had lunch at the Burger Meister on central next to the theater. The burger was huge and a bit messy, but it was delicious. I’m still belching up the taste of those garlic fries though.

48 and still going…

Lazy V Day

We slept in today and had brunch at Bip’s. I had the patty melt. Ran some errands around town then I cooked us Ribeye’s in the iron skillet for dinner. Happy Valentine’s to everyone.

Pakwan

Today we met Abdul, Rubina, Princess Sumaya & Deanna for lunch at Pakwan in Hayward. I wish I had multiple stomachs, so I could eat 3 times as much food.

Dine about town 2009

Tonight we tried to take advantage of the San Francisco dine about town by going to Circolo. I don’t think any of us went with the prefixed menu. The food was excellent.

Patty’s Place

Tonight we went up to the hills of Oakland to Patty & Tom’s place for dinner. The food & wine were excellent, the conversation even better. Of course I had to torment Christine the cat with my camera. I forgot to photograph Willie the Corgi/Golden Retriever mix when he did his tightrope trick.
