Economic Gut Stimulation
In an effort to stimulate the local economy, I believe we should eat out more often. So this morning we ate a huge breakfast at Bips. Since I ate so much, I think I’ll buy a pair of stretch pants at the local department store.
Osha II
We had another Fridate and once again we ate at Osha. Let’s see we had the angel wings, dressed prawns, tuna stacked tartare. The volcano beef was incredible and let’s not forget the lychee martini. Since we’re back on standard time it creates a bit of a challenge for my G10. It’s low light performance …
Mondate
Today both Sandy and I had business in Sacramento. The timing was great so we met on a lunch date at Caffé Italia in Davis. Sandy had soup and salad. I had the chicken and bacon ranch pizza. We didn’t really eat that desert, I just ordered it so I could photograph it for the …
Weekend Pass
Ah, it was a quick visit for Mommie. Today we had a leisurely Pilipino breakfast of fried eggs, rice and smoked Trout. After some last minute shopping to fill her Balikbayan Box (more on this later) we had dinner at Il Fornaio in Burlingame. Then it was off to the SFO to bid her goodbye.
Mommie is here
Sandy just picked up Mommie from SFO and true to form we have our priorities straight… we got take out from Popeye’s.
Cosmo
Tonight we had another Fridate in the city. Sandy brought me to the Cosmopolitan Cafe, where we enjoyed a Ahi & Salmon Tartare appetizer & cocktails. For our entrees, Sandy ordered the pan seared Yellow Fin Tuna while I munched on the Sturgeon special. The shared desert was the Banana Pecan Galette. With full bellies …
Still Fryin’
Not wanting to waste the frying oil from Labor Day weekend. We’ve been frying some more. Today I fried two Turkey Thighs and a couple of Cornish Game Hens for dinner while the Princess relaxed. Now if I ever catch those ground squirrels that been digging in my yard, why I’ll…
Labor Day Picnic
This year we kept it small. I worked during the food preparation period so I’m stealing some photos from Jon. We prepared pulled pork & deep fried turkey with sides. Desert was grilled pineapple and croissant bread pudding topped with whiskey sauce. Everyone chipped in with appetizers and Cait tossed a nice spinach salad. After …
Jen & Rick Wed
Rick & Jen got married at Holman Ranch in the Carmel Valley this afternoon. The venue had great views and the food was just wonderful. I have to fly out Monday on a day trip, so I’ll work on the photos as soon as I get home.
