It’s the budget crunch right now, so Sandy is working hard and late again. So tonight I treated her to salmon with spicy cucumber & pineapple salsa. She didn’t want to be in the photo. 🙁

Best of Alameda
I finally did something other than work. Today, I met Jim over at Alameda Point for the Best of 2007 Party. It was jam-packed with fun loving, beautiful people. There was great food, live music, wine, beer, ice carver, juggler, magician, face painter, it was too much fun. It was nearly impossible to balance a …
We’re going Downtown
One of our favorite wineries, Navarro paired up with Downtown Restaurant in Berkeley. This is the second Navarro sponsored dinner event we’ve attended. The food was excellent and we love Navarro wine! Of course we had to invite Jim, Kelly & Julie. Canon G7 with a 220EX
Workaholic
Sandy has been working long and hard recently so I decided to make her some comfort food for dinner tonight… Chicken Pot Pie. Uh ok actually it’s my comfort food. Regardless she liked it!
Last night in Hotel California

Thanks for the gifts of Korean tea, Spam, pottery and the shirt. Sadly, everyone is leaving for South Carolina tomorrow. We’ll miss them …
LeCheval

Aloha
We got tired of Freda so we sent her off to Korea, then we partied at the Aloha Festival in the Presidio. We consumed large portions of Kalua Pork, BBQ Chicken, Lau Lau and Spam Musubi. Later we drove out to Fort Point at the Golden Gate Bridge.
Strawberry Festival
Today Freda, Tawny & Aleki arrived from South Carolina. We had lunch at Goldilock’s, then headed straight to the Monterey Strawberry Festival. Uh… it was a bit smaller than I imagined but nonetheless we had a fun time. This was followed by dinner at our favorite Phó eatery.
Idaho 2007
This year’s short vacation was in Idaho, home of Famous Potatoes. We planned this to coincide with the chamber music series at the Sun Valley Lodge in which Jon was playing. We rarely get to see Jon so we decided to tag along. We flew into Boise and drove 2½ hours to Sun Valley. Now …
Winding down the weekend
We had a very full weekend. Today Ate Anna and Stephen came over for lunch. We started off with a great green salad by Sandy. I grilled pork ribs, chicken, corn on the cob & asparagus. This was followed up with some homemade macapuno ice cream. Shortly after our meal I had to run Tita …
