Perbacco

Been wanting to come here for quite awhile, so after my Canon Macro class (right across the street) we had a lovely dinner.

Ozumo

Tonight we met Jim & Kelly at Ozumo in Oakland for the Japanese Beer month dinner. 6 courses and they were all wonderful. The dessert/beer combo was the big surprise.

Sandy’s Birthday 2015

This year for Sandy’s Birthday we drove down to Big Sur. 1st stop McWay Falls, a very iconic spot but without beach access you can only shoot it from so many angles. It’s a shame not to use this jacuzzi tub, but both of us were thinking about how much water it would use. For …

Koa’s Spa Day

We had to get Koa ready for Easter Sunday so a little dog polo and a mango scented bath was called for. A few portraits after her spa treatment.

Shanky

When we dined at Bodega Bay I had a great Lamb Shank dish. I liked it so much I did my best to duplicate it. I have to say it came out great I think I nailed it. Braised in a whole bottle if Zin and 2.5 hrs later.

Glass Woes

Sylvia a family friend, asked me to photograph her glass art work. Thinking it would be a snap I quickly agreed. I found out the hard way that shooting glass is really difficult. Her work is beautiful so I wanted to do it justice. The wave sculpture below would not accept any side light as …

Portraits at the Kinney’s

We were invited to a Birthday/house warming party at Trish & Chris’s, so I thought I would bring along my G7X and a continuous lighting set up. Here’s what I got…

Mega Dado

Today we went to the SM Mega Mall to get some last minute gifts. Just as we were leaving, a folk song played on the intercom which brought all the sales associates out to the aisles to sing and clap along. With all this shopping we got hungry and met the rest of the family at Dad’s for a …
