This year’s Labor Day picnic was held at Vasona Park. We engaged in large quantities of food, competitive badminton and napping. Unfortunately I hardly shot any pix.

Steve at 60
Today is Steve’s actual birthday so we had a quiet celebration at Steve & Diane’s… Well it was quiet til the enchiladas started kicking in. We did bring a delicious toasted almond ice cream cake from Tucker’s. Meanwhile Sandy fell in love with Diane’s granddog Thistle, Swizzle or Fizzle.
We’re going Downtown
One of our favorite wineries, Navarro paired up with Downtown Restaurant in Berkeley. This is the second Navarro sponsored dinner event we’ve attended. The food was excellent and we love Navarro wine! Of course we had to invite Jim, Kelly & Julie. Canon G7 with a 220EX

Today I did some work over at the San Francisco VA. During my lunch break I went to Le Cafe’ then up to the Legion of Honor. This was my view while I munched on a Vietnamese grilled pork sandwich, chips & a regular coke, not that diet crap. Canon G7 ISO Auto – 1/320 …
Workaholic
Sandy has been working long and hard recently so I decided to make her some comfort food for dinner tonight… Chicken Pot Pie. Uh ok actually it’s my comfort food. Regardless she liked it!

Bay Area Panorama
On the way home from Steve’s Birthday Party, I noticed the view from Grizzly Peak road and I knew I’d have to revisit it. So today on my way back home from Concord I decided to drive up there to check it out. Mind you it was approximately 4:00PM and the conditions were not ideal. Perhaps …
Last night in Hotel California
Freda arrived in SFO today fresh from her trip to visit Alex in Korea. Upon arrival, she demanded to be taken to Goldilocks… I think she had to stock up on munchies. Thanks for the gifts of Korean tea, Spam, pottery and the shirt. Sadly, everyone is leaving for South Carolina tomorrow. We’ll miss them …
LeCheval
WooHoo! LeCheval tonight for dinner. We finally got to use that gift certificate, thanks Tom & Peneli. The food was excellent as usual. Tawny even tried the snake juice!
Tumalo Falls
Once again, I had a business trip in central Oregon. This time after work I drove out 15 mi west of Bend to photograph Tumalo Falls. 2:00PM – ISO 80 – 1/10th – f8.0. I wish I had my 5D and a tripod!
