Today I did something I never do… depend solely on my iPhone to photograph a location. This sculpture garden is located on the Stanford University campus. It did pretty well mmmmm.

Restricted Sunrise
I depend on google earth for location searches close by, because I usually wait til the last moment to photograph the sunrise. I saw this structure and planned to go out if the sunrise ever looked promising. I couldn’t tell it was in a restricted area, so I had to shoot it through the fence.
Old fart
Photoshop latest update has neural filters and while most I don’t have any interest in, one caught my eye. I can now give Sandy an estimate of how I will look many (or maybe 2) years from now.
Pandemic Cooking #10
While perusing youtube I came across a Beef Wellington recipe from Chef John. I’ve always wanted to make this dish but the large size was a deterrent. This recipe calls for is individually wrapped portions kinda like a twinkie is to a cake, so I decided to give it a try.
Don Edwards Sunrise

Thanksgiving 2020
This year Thanksgiving was very different. We just stayed at home the 2 of us. I still got to grill my spatchcocked burd, but gone were those obnoxious kids running and yelling all over the damn place… although I do miss that. As mentioned previously I roasted the purple potatoes (a new technique). The water …
Green Acres
I finally dug up my purple potatoes that I started Aug 1st. I’m glad I don’t have to to do this to survive as its not exactly a bumper crop. Nonetheless we will enjoy them for Thanksgiving later this week.
Survival Training
This morning we had a survival drill. We ate SPAM that had a best by date of November 2018. I believe SPAM will last at least 20 years, but if I am wrong and don’t post anything tomorrow call 911. In keeping with this theme. I also found a can of tuna fish that had …
