Did an overnighter in SLC, ventured out in the evening and shot the famous LDS Salt Lake Temple with my G7, handheld 1/25th f3.2, ISO 1600. Really noisy eh.

Winding down the weekend
We had a very full weekend. Today Ate Anna and Stephen came over for lunch. We started off with a great green salad by Sandy. I grilled pork ribs, chicken, corn on the cob & asparagus. This was followed up with some homemade macapuno ice cream. Shortly after our meal I had to run Tita …
Happy Birthday Uncle Russell
Uncle Russell turned 60 today. We were invited to a surprise birthday party at the beautiful home of Sheldon & Debbie. There was way too much great tasting food. Humm… 1947, Uncle wasn’t that before cars were invented?
All aboard for biscuits and gravy at the driving range
This morning we were honored by a visit from Tita Flor. We picked her up at the Jack London Square Amtrak station and she treated us to breakfast at our local Chuck Corica Golf Course. I couldn’t finish my biscuits and gravy, the portions were huge! Sandy had the waffles and Tita Flor had an …

Fridate
What a gorgeous day for a premeditated date. I hopped on the Harbor Bay Ferry and met Sandy in the city. We then strolled over to Sai’s for a tasty bowl of Phó.
San Francisco

June Dux
This morning I looked outside and was greeted by the sight of a new duckling brood. Broods are normally 10-12 so this is quite a small family. Now we usually avoid getting too attached to the young newbies of the lagoon because their life expectancy is approximately 24 hours. I’ll keep my eye out for …
An Accidental Date
Today we visited the Legion of Honor on an accidental date (Sandy loves those). We were recently there to watch Jon perform at the Florence Gould Theater and I knew we had to go back during the daylight hours. While I was out shooting pictures, Sandy wandered into the museum and to my surprise bought …
Crawdad Festival 2007
We ventured out to Isleton this year for the 22nd annual Crawdad Festival. We enjoyed the smoked turkey legs, enormous onion rings and of course a large order of crawdads. Man they were spicy. Promoters estimate a crowd of 50,000 and 24,000 lbs of boiled crawdads to be consumed.
