I’ve been sick all week and I’m going crazy with nothing to do… Got some bugs from the backyard an asked if I could shoot a few portraits of them. They graciously agreed. This is so hard to get sharp focus as my eyesight is horrible these days.

Happy Valentines Day 2015
I have to give myself these projects in order to be a more rounded fotog. So last night I had Sandy fling some wine (backyard) in an attempt to create a heartshaped pattern in honor of V-Day. This is not original, I got the idea from Gavin Hoey via the Adorama channel on youtube. This …
Glass Woes
Sylvia a family friend, asked me to photograph her glass art work. Thinking it would be a snap I quickly agreed. I found out the hard way that shooting glass is really difficult. Her work is beautiful so I wanted to do it justice. The wave sculpture below would not accept any side light as …
Grandma Maeda

Koa Portraits

Portraits at the Kinney’s
We were invited to a Birthday/house warming party at Trish & Chris’s, so I thought I would bring along my G7X and a continuous lighting set up. Here’s what I got…
Post Halloween Shoot 2014
Schedules did not permit us to see Noah this Halloween. I heard he was going to be a Fireman, so I made arrangements to meet at our local fire station for a short shoot and as usual they were very accommodating. Having shot Noah a few times I thought I knew what to expect, but …
Oakland LDS 2014
Last time I was here was 2008. I brought a gigantic DSLR and tripod. This time I used a tiny G1X2 and a travel tripod. I did try a HDR software that came with the Canon RAW package.
