Piano Shooter

Jon has a concert in San Jose this weekend so he was nice enough to let me shoot a few pix while he practiced. This is my usual view when I get the chance to watch Jon play. Today I got stage access! Time was limited and as usual I spent way too much time fiddling with …

Canada Geese – the next generation

On my way home today I spotted a pair of Canada Geese with a gosling. I grabbed my camera and while it was the absolutely the worst time of day to shoot I snapped a few pix.

Wasp

Found this dead wasp in the backyard so I thought it would be a good test. This was really difficult. The depth of field was so shallow I had to do a focus stack. But just to get it in focus was trying as I shot this in the living room on the coffee table. …

Stupid Burds

I spent good money on a humming burd feeder and to date not a single burd has taken my offering. A slow work day allowed me to do something I haven’t had the luxury of doing in quite awhile. Shoot in my backyard.

Easter 2014 – Noah’s Birthday

Easter at the Yuen’s. Chris fried up 85 lbs chicken & I didn’t even get a photo of it. I was too focused on the kids.

Dogsitting Koa

In preparation for Easter at Tami & Chris’s we took Koa off their hands for the afternoon. This is always full of challenges. We decided to spend the day in the backyard and Koa was quietly waiting for the ducks to show. She would ignore them til she felt she could pounce. Of course the …

NYC 2014

We took a train from Greenwich to Grand Central Station (forgot to take a photo). Paz met us and immediately whisked us to their favorite Thai Restaurant, Sripraphai. We consumed a whole fried fish & with fishy breath we jetted off to the Queens Museum to watch a press conference where Mayor Bill de Blasio …

Greenwich

As we do from time to time, we followed Jon to CT & NYC to play while he works. We stayed at an incredible house that was hosted by Inez & Al, two of the nicest folks ever. Lunch was at a little place downtown called, Mediterraneo. I loved the octopus. For dinner we met up …
