Sandy’s Birthday 2024
For Sandy’s Birthday we visited India Palace for lunch and for dinner she requested Korean Japchae. I did a poor job of documenting all of the days events. Later Dom & Marcus brought over gifts and finally Alan appealed to her sweet tooth.
Dido’s US Steak Diet
Dido’s visit to the states was consumed by eating steak at every stop, that was about 4 times. We decided to give him a break since he left today… so we gave it to Sid.
Bumble Bee
I watched a bumble bee crawl across the patio and pass away. So I shot it, but after editing the photo I realize I should have done a focus stack.
Aleki & Macy Wedding
We invaded Denver to celebrate their wedding. Welcome to the family Macy… you have our sympathies. Our first event was a mixer at 2 Penguins, a brewery which got me excited.
The Wedding at Villa Parker. I think the picture taking lasted longer than the ceremony.
Other moments…
Through a collaboration we came up with the box portraits, while not an original idea we added the mustaches. Sandy scavenged a box from the local grocery store.

Pizza Pizza
My pizza game is slowly improving. I feel confident with my iron skillet Detroit style version. I’m just starting my Neapolitan versions. Last week I made a pear, blue cheese, candied walnuts with a balsamic reduction.
Cancer
When I bought this beer it was for presenting to someone who may be touched by cancer. I didn’t count on it being me.
Ramen Station
We found a Ramen place that reminds us of Japan. You order at the vending station and it gets delivered via service window. There is no human interaction.
Rhea & Max
Rhea & Max are up for the weekend and tonight Rhea treated us to a great dinner at Alley & Vine.
