Just found out how to do an image focus stack in CS4.
Today I turned 50 and if you would have asked me 20 years ago, I probably thought I’d be dead by now.
We dropped Mommi off @ SFO and then quickly shuttled on over to Lake Chalet for lunch.
We had a quiet dinner just the 2 of us. Sandy made me a smoked salmon pasta dish. This was followed up by lattes & puto bumbong.
We finished the evening by watching Case 39 @ home.
As Mommi & Bengie are leaving tomorrow we went out and celebrated my birthday with a dinner at Il Fornaio courtesy of Bengie.
Prawns, gnocchi, pork chop wrapped with pork, lobster ravioli & tiramisu… While it wasn’t like the food in Italy it still gave me that overstuffed feeling on the drive back home.
Mommi & Bengie flew in tonight.
Sandy had corned beef in slow cooker all day. We dined on it for dinner.
Had a pretty lazy weekend, ate out, mowed the lawn. Oh but we did manage to go a birthday party for Beth. Here’s some random stuff…
Had some training in the home office (I haven’t been there in 3 yrs). Later we had a short visit with my Ma.
The tonkotsu ramen at Ramen Yamadaya was to die for… I got mine with a big slab of pork belly.
I also had a chance to revisit one of my favorite pastrami places in Culver City. I haven’t been there in 18 years. It was so good.
Had to travel to Reno and there are a limited number of flights, so I decided to drive. I stopped over to see Jimi & Amy… okay I wanted to meet Maverick. Oh Jimi made an outstanding 4 course dinner, whatever. Maverick!
They also have 3 fat kats. It’ll take 4 washings to get rid of all that fur from my pants.
Last night we ate at our local Chinese restaurant to honor the new year.
Tonight we ventured into downtown Oakland to celebrate Tami & Chris’s birthday. Ozumo was the restaurant of choice.
I don’t follow any sports but I have to admit I like watching a good fight.
I got tired of cleaning up after Ben Aflac by the back door so I tried to feed him at the lower patio. Well the other ducks caught wind of this and decided to swarm him. Apparently violence is beneath him so he retreated to the upper patio and hid behind the plants until the coast was clear. I felt sorry for him so I fed him privately. Meanwhile I photographed the melee at the lower patio.
