BTW Sandy has renamed him. It’s a cross between the actor & that famous duck. We now crown him Ben Aflac.

What the duck? Saw it in our lagoon yesterday. Just found out it’s a female Hooded Merganser. How does she keep all that hair gel from washing out?

Koa’s Thanksgiving 2010

If it isn’t obvious, I love Koa. I chased her around all night trying to get a good photo of her…oh yeah we got together with family and ate some food too, whatever.

Actually it was good to see everyone even though I didn’t get photos of all of them. The food was excellent as usual.

I had cold turkey for breakfast this morning.

A while back I noticed a new duck in the crowd of the usual Mallards. He always kept his distance til yesterday. For whatever reason, perhaps it was Thanksgiving, he came to our back door and starting honking for food. Oddly enough he didn’t have much fear as he ate right from the bottle. I have identified it as a Muscovy Duck, I think it’s a male. A name is pending…Perhaps Musky.

Windy

Driving along the shore this afternoon, we saw a number of parasailers. I went back home and retrieved my camera. Lighting conditions were horrible for getting any kind of tight shot I had to shoot into the sun.

Tribu redux

Looking to remodel our bathroom we visited a bathroom showroom in Union City… and it was lunch time… so we went to Tribu.

Maple

Mary Ann sent me a bottle of Maple Syrup from Canada. Now how shall I use that?

Pumpkin

Was listening to NPR and heard an interesting recipe for Pumpkin stuffed with everything good. Sadly it was bland. I’ll use more ding dang bacon and a stronger cheese next time… or I’ll just throw in a steak!
