The life and times of a true knucklehead – No photos to be used without permission
We flew down to LA to see my folks yesterday.We also stayed at a nice Courtyard (thanks Rhea) that had a jacuzzi. Unfortunately we had to catch a 6AM flt in order to get back in time for work today.
We also got a hold of some old photos.
The photo on the left is my Ma’s school class (she’s 1st row 4th from the left) and the other photo has my father on the far right.
While we were in AZ Bengie came over for a quick visit. I dropped him off at the airport this morning. Stay a little longer next time. Why does my head so much bigger?
We had the honor of attending the wedding of Amanda & Christopher Ludwig in Chandler, Arizona yesterday. It’s been years since I last saw Amanda.
The wedding was held at the Castle at Ashley Manor. Everyone was friendly and warm, it was a great time. Thanks Amanda & Chris. We wish you all the best for your life together.
We had a quick run to AZ for a wedding (more on that later). We landed, got our car and checked into our hotel. Then we searched for a lunch spot. We ended up at Famous Dave’s BBQ. Sandy had the Smoked Salmon Salad and I had the BBQ Buddies. We had to finish it off with a small serving of their award winning bread pudding.
We flew back home the following day so we were only in AZ for about 24 hrs. We did manage to stay at a great Marriott (thanks Rhea).
Alex stopped over on his way to the Philippines. We had lunch at La Pinata. I’m a little sleepy from the Mango Mojito.
Last night we ventured into Livermore to see Jon & Jon perform at the Bankhead. It was quite entertaining to watch the contrast of the two Jon’s. Prior to the performance we ate dinner at Uncle Yu’s. When we got home I started to scan the material for the blog. That’s when I noticed the 15% off on the back of the tickets, doh! Sorry Arlene.
Today Mr Mailman delivered my new Canon S90, WooHoo! This will be my everyday kick around cam. I love my G11 but even at that size it’s a bit too big. Pepe seems to be excited too, but I won’t let him use it much. He takes lame pictures.
Made a quick trip to Reno and the only photo I took was at the stupid airport gift shop of a stuffed Coyote. Hmmm it looks like Baker. Wait is that a wolf?
I love overcast days vs. those hot sunny ones. I set my white balance to tungsten to get the blue sky. In reality it was truly grey.
It got a nice orange glow as the sun set below the horizon.
I can’t seem to keep em out of our yard, but these are fighting words!
