The holidays must be around the corner because today I saw the Holiday Hawk.
Last night we ventured back to high school… for a performance by Jon at Hogan High in Vallejo. It was a wonderful concert. The orchestra sounded great.
Jon invited us to his dressing room which was actually a classroom. So while waiting for the show to end we had some foto-fun.
I finally did something other than work. Today, I met Jim over at Alameda Point for the Best of 2007 Party. It was jam-packed with fun loving, beautiful people. There was great food, live music, wine, beer, ice carver, juggler, magician, face painter, it was too much fun. It was nearly impossible to balance a plate full of food, wine glass and all my camera equipment. I had to ditch the plate.
This year’s Labor Day picnic was held at Vasona Park. We engaged in large quantities of food, competitive badminton and napping. Unfortunately I hardly shot any pix.
Today is Steve’s actual birthday so we had a quiet celebration at Steve & Diane’s… Well it was quiet til the enchiladas started kicking in. We did bring a delicious toasted almond ice cream cake from Tucker’s.
Meanwhile Sandy fell in love with Diane’s granddog Thistle, Swizzle or Fizzle.
Jon’s new CD is #4 according to Billboard. Its been on the top ten chart for 12 weeks and peaked at #3. Come on everyone let’s buy some more CDs!
One of our favorite wineries, Navarro paired up with Downtown Restaurant in Berkeley. This is the second Navarro sponsored dinner event we’ve attended. The food was excellent and we love Navarro wine! Of course we had to invite Jim, Kelly & Julie.

Today I did some work over at the San Francisco VA. During my lunch break I went to Le Cafe’ then up to the Legion of Honor. This was my view while I munched on a Vietnamese grilled pork sandwich, chips & a regular coke, not that diet crap.

Sandy has been working long and hard recently so I decided to make her some comfort food for dinner tonight… Chicken Pot Pie. Uh ok actually it’s my comfort food. Regardless she liked it!
This morning I spotted a caterpillar by the rose bush and it reminded me of when I first started photography in the 7th grade. I couldn’t drive anywhere, so everything I shot was in the backyard. Needless to say I took a large number of bug shots.
