The life and times of a true knucklehead – No photos to be used without permission
After working in Monterey I saw these folks floating on the air, so I had to stop and photograph them.
I never pay attention to gas prices, but damn!
Paul & Brenda were nice enough to invite us on a wine tasting excursion. Ledson, St Anne’s Crossing & Ty Caton Vineyards. We also had a great lunch at Salt and Stone.
Today is Sandy’s Birthday.
We saw Top Hatters on Bay Area Check Please and decided this would be a good time to go. Everything was delicious, the only issue was the pork belly (forgot to photo). It was really good, but it tasted just like Sandy’s pork adobo. We could have had that at home.
We have a duck that has decided our backyard is the best place for a nest sight. We are waiting patiently for the hatching ceremony (approx 28 days). Oddly a crow has decided to harass it.
She lays on her eggs for days at a time while her mate waits bored out of his mind. Kinda like when you accompany your wife to Macy’s.
As always the duckie predators have shown up waiting for happy hour.
I was working in the area so I visited Burney Falls again (last time 2016).
Afterwards I photographed the Sundial Bridge.
Today we visited the local Robb Elementary School memorial. This was so sad.
One of the hummers allowed me to get close enough to shoot these.
While eating dinner we kept seeing this Robin running back and forth. It turns out she is making a nest in our Bougainvillea plant. I may have to install a Robin Cam.
The following morning I spotted this…
I suspect the squirrel is using the eggs to make french omelettes.
The newscasters kept reporting the coast was not the place to be, but I was too lazy to drive. The moon was barely visible, so all I got was a crappy out of focus (shooting through a fence) photo. Later I was able to view it in my backyard without the marine layer.
