I’ve recently been on a rum run. Until recently my favorite Don Papa was only available in the Philippines. To my surprise I found it locally, although not the Masskara. I will pop the cork on the Kasama tonight.

Jenna & Pearl were in town for a field hockey tournament. So we had them over for lunch yesterday, which I regret as Pearl drank all my Philippine rum. It was one of rare occasions where we get to see Patty & Tom as well.

We’ve never seen/photographed a live field hockey game. So this was a new experience. Unfortunately we arrived so late I only had about 5 mins to shoot.

Thanks to Pearl for the photos.
WTF is a yurt? As a late birthday celebration we stayed at the Treebones Resort. The uniqueness of this place is obviously in the accommodations. Perhaps we’ll stay in the treehouse next time.

The surprise was the omakase sushi restaurant that was on the premises.

We did stop by Monterey for lunch at Hula’s Island Grill & Melville Tavern.

On the way home we make a quick stop to Willow Creek Beach to shoot a seascape.

This year it was quiet birthday for me. I woke up early and drove an hour east to photograph the sunrise, but it was so horrible I never got out of my car!

Later we enjoyed a Japanese lunch.

I didn’t learn my lesson from earlier in the day and tried to shoot the sunset, but once again it was horrible as the clouds were absent.
Yes, they brought back the whiskey stroll. Sandy was nice enough to buy both Tom & myself tickets. I didn’t take a single photo, luckily Tom did.

This came up on my feed today, from Feb 25th via Harvard Musical Association.
That dixie cup on the floor is really bugging me.
The other day I drove over a homeless camp that was on fire.
Slept in so I only had time to run out to the local golf course.

We found out that Jon was playing locally and decided to pay him a visit. The Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto No.1 is an amazing piece to view/hear. No recording allowed so here is a 2 year old clip.

Needless to say we had dinner before the concert at A Bellagio Italian Restaurant. The food was great but as with the entire evening I was having so much fun I didn’t take any photos.
Sunrises have been poor lately, but there was a bit of color/clouds this morning.
