We’re going through a heatwave here and it’s quite unpleasant. Even the burds are looking for shade. On top of that the smoke from all the fires are making the air horrible.

Last weds marked our 20th year together. Normally we would be going out to a restaurant to celebrate… this year we ate sushi at Angel Fish (which we love). Not wanting risk the critical temperature degradation of driving home, we ate in the back of the car (grocery store dessert). It just wasn’t same, but at least we were together.

That adolescent Phoebe is is getting on my nerves. Good thing I checked the camera before I ran downstairs.
Tami, Chris, Noah, Nico & Koa strolled by our lagoon and said, Hi.

I was amazed at how much the boys have grown and inversely how much Chris has shrunk (35lbs). Sadly old lady Koa didn’t recognize us from that distance.
Woke up at 4:00 and couldn’t go back to sleep, so I headed to the water to shoot the sunrise.
I found this from 2006, while reworking the blog.
The early morning lightning storm woke me up at 4:17. I ran out to the shore in the hopes of capturing something.

Sadly these lightning strikes caused a number of fires all over northern California.

I did a B&W composite
Found this 1 on the doormat.

On my way back home I saw these paragliders around Seaside and had to pull over to shoot em.

Had to go up to Gualala again so…
