Had to work in Ukiah so rather than sit in the hotel I ventured out to shoot something and to have dinner at the Golden Pig.
Last weekend we flew down to San Diego for Sid’s 50th Birthday.
Izzy & family were out visiting from AZ and Damon requested a photoshoot of the bridge. It was a gloomy day in San Francisco, I brought a half charged and a dead battery! It was a long hike back up to the car. When we got home I muttered something to Sandy about my condition. She quickly responded, “You’re having dessert?” I said no my calves hurt… We need hearing aids.
If the skies are overcast I usually go black & white in post processing. Below I tried to use split toning in Lightroom. I’m not completely satisfied with the results.
Saw a heron this morning so I thought I would shoot em while testing my Sony 70-300mm.
For our 18th anniversary dinner we drove up to Petaluma to try Crocodile
Awhile back I got a used G5X and fell in love with the compact size. As I always do, I scour ebay for used equipment and found a deal on a G1X Mark III. The 2 main differences are the G5X has a 1″ sensor and 24 – 100mm f1.8 – 2.8 lens, while the G1X Mark III has a APS C sensor and has a 24 – 72mm f2.5 – 5.6 lens. Both have the much needed hotshoe for strobes.
Just gotta new Tenor ukulele from Tyde Music. A truly unique piece.
Haven’t seen Jim & Kelly in awhile so we had dinner at Farmhouse Kitchen Thai Cuisine. The food was excellent and the company even better.
On our way to dinner, I had to run out to the beach when I saw the sunset. I got tons of sand in my shoes, which irritated my feet all throughout the meal.
We were fortunate enough to have been invited to the Harrigan June Lake cabin again. This year the timing wasn’t all that great as the Ferguson fires created so much smoke in the air. Thanks to Sandy for contributing photos.
I have to go to Mono Lake.
Rainbow Falls was on my list from last visit.
Plenty of wild life.
Osprey…
Trumbull Lake.
