We met up with Jon & Kathy to talk about a New York trip. Jon suggested Naschmarkt Restaurant. We never had Austrian food before so we jumped at the chance. Needless to say the Pork Belly was so damn good. I did have to take 6 Lipitors on the way back to the car though. After dinner I shot a few portraits of Jon.
We had a nice reunion this afternoon. It’s probably been 10 years since I’ve seen my former bandmates.
We got together with Jim & Kelly again and had a wonderful dinner at Nido. What better opportunity to shoot a portrait.
Last night we got together with Mary Ann before she flew home & had dinner at Jang Su Jang in Santa Clara.
Last Saturday we got to try the new Italian place Trabocco in South Shore. We met Jim & Kelly over there.
During my annual PBS pledge drive I happen to receive a gift certificate for Elizabeth Spencer Wines. Well today we decided to redeem it and what better couple to take with us than Paul & Brenda.
We walked out of there with a nice cab and then shuttled over to Long Meadow Ranch for lunch.
It’s been a little over a year since Sandy’s beloved Judy passed.
When I taste something good, I try to recreate it while adding my own touch. Mommi’s lengua is one of those dishes. Now while Mommi was not here we thawed a portion from the freezer.
I topped mine with 3 types of mushrooms. In fairness I should wait til her next visit for the actual throwdown.
We finally made it over to Oakland Zoo Lights.
We went to Jon & Kathy’s for our annual Christmas Party. I tried to keep my picture taking to a minimum, but had to take portraits. I need to change my methodology. I was so intent on getting the bokeh from the Christmas tree lights and I was shooting at f2-2.8. This created some focus issues that I could not see on that little 3″ screen. Perhaps I need to complete that iPad tethering project.
