The life and times of a true knucklehead – No photos to be used without permission
I’m trying to keep busy since Sandy is in the Philippines, so tonight I went to the Rhythmix Island Arts to watch: Lumago Lampas. I got permission to bring my camera sans flash. I’ve never been to the space so I had no idea what to expect. The colored spotlights drove me nuts. I finally settled in on ISO 6400 with a 5omm f1.4 lens.
Sand Castle Competition at Robert Crown Memorial State Beach. Unfortunately these things usually happen at the worst time with regard to lighting. Don’t they know?
Seems like I do this every few years. Just love those lights! It’s a nice test for my new G1X2 as well.
Out with the old and in with the new. I had my G1X since March of 2012. Even with its shortcomings I’ve used this camera alot.
I took Sandy out for a pre birthday dinner at Ume. It was really good and we can’t wait to go back.
This year we visited the USS Hornet to checkout their Memorial Day services.
We stopped by South Shore today to check out the Alameda Asian Pacific Islander Cultural Festival.
Yesterday Steve suggested that we go out to the Golden Gate Bridge to shoot the full moon.
Needless to say there were a number of people who had the same idea. While I haven’t seen Jim’s or Steve’s shots, I imagine they’ll look so similar. The photos do no justice to the beauty of the scene and I can’t remember the last time all 3 of us went on a shoot. We should do it more often.
Jon has a concert in San Jose this weekend so he was nice enough to let me shoot a few pix while he practiced. This is my usual view when I get the chance to watch Jon play.
Today I got stage access! Time was limited and as usual I spent way too much time fiddling with my lights. The last photo is hanging on the wall of my office.
On my way home today I spotted a pair of Canada Geese with a gosling. I grabbed my camera and while it was the absolutely the worst time of day to shoot I snapped a few pix.
