The life and times of a true knucklehead – No photos to be used without permission
I went to work at a lab in San Leandro and was shocked to see wild turkeys. I made sure I had my camera this time.
Today I heard a commotion in the backyard so I ran out and witnessed a Chocolate covered Labbie Dabbie having some fun with his family.
Morning tradition, wake up early, cup of coffee & camera. Well actually this is a collection from a couple of days.
We checked out the GRBR this weekend. We woke up at 3 AM so I thought we’d be among the first ones there. Boy was I wrong. Everyone and their brother was there and the traffic was horrible. By the time we walked onto the field they had started inflating the balloons and we couldn’t see a thing. More importantly, I couldn’t change the settings on my camera as my flashlight failed and the only source of light was the intermittent glow from the balloons. 99% of my fotos are junk.
We haven’t seen Jimi in such a long time, so we decided to go up to Tahoe to see him. We rented a place in the Tahoe Keys & drove up for the 3 day weekend. Because of the Rim Fire in Yosemite the air was a bit smoky but not nearly as bad as was expected. This also made for small crowds.
Needless to say Jimi’s food is incredible. So good we went twice. I didn’t even get the chance to photograph everything. The Roasted Kampachi Head was so good & quite a spectacle when he served us.
Day trip to Sugar Pine Point.
Amy was nice enough to bring Maverick over so we could take him on a short hike.
Today marks our 13th anniversary. My how time flies…
Sandy casually mentioned to me that there was a lightning storm tonight. I ran out as quickly as I could and for ½ an hour stood out in the backyard and took 155 shots. Only 9 captures but this one is the best.
Yesterday we attended Tjader’s 1st Birthday Party. It was a nautical theme!
Last Friday I ferried in to the city to have a dinner date with Sandy. We met at Sens on the Embarcadero.
While we felt very old during the very loud happy hour. I have to say they served the best octopus dish ever.
