Sandy had the great idea to shoot a Kathy Portrait in a chemistry setting.

I faced obstacles as usual. I forgot to put in fresh batteries in my speedlites (rookie) which gave me inconsistent results & it was the 1st time I used a fog machine.

Sandy had the great idea to shoot a Kathy Portrait in a chemistry setting.
I faced obstacles as usual. I forgot to put in fresh batteries in my speedlites (rookie) which gave me inconsistent results & it was the 1st time I used a fog machine.
I had to work in Walla Walla Washington. Did you know there are approximately 140 wineries there? Unfortunately I only had time to visit one. I choose the Dunham Cellars. As soon as I exited my vehicle I was greeted by a very friendly dog Maysy.
The wines I sampled were great so I had a few bottles shipped.
I stumbled on a glass blowing studio in Alameda. I asked the owner Prax if I could do a shoot. He graciously agreed.
For whatever reason I was obsessed with a small strip of local beach near our house.
I got Sandy a nice blue orchid. I thought I should photograph it as it’ll never look this good again.
Tried my hand at shooting a few bottles. It’s not a easy as you think.
Back in December Sandy made rezzies for Ano Nuevo. The overcast weather worked out quite nicely for taking fotos. I can’t say they are the most beautiful animals I’ve ever seen but, it was interesting to “watch the fighting & mating”.
We met up with Jon & Kathy to talk about a New York trip. Jon suggested Naschmarkt Restaurant. We never had Austrian food before so we jumped at the chance. Needless to say the Pork Belly was so damn good. I did have to take 6 Lipitors on the way back to the car though. After dinner I shot a few portraits of Jon.
We had a nice reunion this afternoon. It’s probably been 10 years since I’ve seen my former bandmates.
We got together with Jim & Kelly again and had a wonderful dinner at Nido. What better opportunity to shoot a portrait.
