Nancy & Aaron came over to pick up their wedding pano which I had enlarged to a whopping 16 x 30. We also invited Teddy & Mojito Gurl so we made lunch.

The life and times of a true knucklehead – No photos to be used without permission
Nancy & Aaron came over to pick up their wedding pano which I had enlarged to a whopping 16 x 30. We also invited Teddy & Mojito Gurl so we made lunch.
The fair is in town! We looked at the schedule and had to check out the Alaskan Pig races. I also wanted to capture the fireworks display. On a dietary note, I can’t believe I ate a whole Smoked Turkey Leg.
I do not normally buy new lenses for my cameras. I mostly purchase them used via ebay. I got a good deal on MP-E 65mm f2.8 and it is incredible.
Here is a 100 piso with my hand as a point of reference.
Now here’s a shot of his left eye and a grain of rice on the blue seal to the right.
This past weekend we were invited to stay in a cabin just outside of Yosemite. Going to such a beautiful location means we split our priorities. Sandy worried about what shoes to wear and I pondered what camera gear to bring. Met some great new friends and saw some incredible sights. The last time I was here was in 1984 with Barry and just managed to drive through.
Teddy & Christine talked us into the hike up to Vernal & Nevada Falls. Halfway up, I was cussing them out in my mind. It was all worth it when we got to the top. So I guess they’re not so bad after all.
It goes without saying, but I’ll say it anyway. These photos do not capture the magnitude of Yosemite. Everything on the blog looks so small and flat and it was anything but that. We must go again.
Sunday morning we drove up to Glacier Point. We saw a mother brown bear with 2 cubs but couldn’t stop to shoot ’em as everyone and their brother was stopped in the middle of the road shooting photos of them. Really a mother bear with her cubs?
Next was brunch at the Ahwahnee.
On the way home, we stopped at the Oakdale Cheese Farm. I had to feed the animals because I wasn’t allowed to do so in Yosemite.
Luz had 8 ducklings this morning. We’ll hope for the best.
That baby hummingbird just disappeared one day. I did hear a crow right outside the window so we feared the worst. The other day I saw him in our backyard alive & well.
I almost forgot the goyablog has made its 5 year anniversary. There are a total of 752 posts since May of 2007. I actually started in June but the 1st post was backdated. Over the years some have had the opinion that this is a single page blog. You have access to every post via the archive on the right or better yet the search at the top right.
It was hard choosing which foto of the Heron to post so I’ve gone back and made a composite of all the shotz.
Captured a GBH this morning. They are quite shy so he bolted as soon as I got close.
