Last night on a date night we saw Totem at AT&T Park The 2 hr show was incredible. I highly recommend it. Later we had dinner at Credo. We dined on the lamb tartare, halibut & gnocchi.
Practice…
I plan on shooting portraits at our annual Christmas Party so I wanted to practice a bit. I let Sandy shoot me too.
Flora Beauty
Sandy brought home a lovely orchid for me.
Holiday Inn
I’m embarrassed to say that I had dinner at the Holiday Inn in Redding, but it was really good. Osso Buco!
Progressive Dinner
Tonight we charted new territory by participating in a progressive dinner with a few of our neighbors. Appetizers were at the Heidi & Michael’s (happy birthday, Heidi!), salad was at our place, Ophelia prepared a leg of lamb and dessert was at Lynn & Bill’s place. Luckily the distance was reasonable which worked out great as we didn’t have to worry about driving. I made some nice pumpkin martini’s.
Noah’s 1st Thanksgiving
Fun with the family, as usual. Enough food to feed an army, as usual. The worst part of the evening? While I was carving the burd Noah got his 1st taste of turkey… he absolutely hated it, spit it out in dramatic fashion. I would have loved to have captured that moment.
Twilight Movie
The newest family member
I’d like to introduce Alicia Maria Kinney, just 2 weeks old. We drove up to Folsom to photograph her. Sandy asked me if this was gonna be a complex setup with lights & sandbags. Luckily yesterday I received my new 4 square softbox in the mail. My friend Jim turned me on to this great little portable lighting accessory.
Jen’s Bday
Today we celebrated Jennifer’s birthday at Ed’s Teriyaki. I had the teriyaki cheesesteak, I know that sounds strange but it was actually pretty darn good. Of course Noah was getting all the attention.
Lazy Saturday
Today we met Aunty Amy, Cait, Chris, Tami & Noah at the Blue Dot Cafe & Coffee Bar for a late breakfast. Then we brought Aunty Amy to the local farmers market and we walked away with a carnivorous orchid which I have yet to ID. While photographing the orchid, I happened to look down at a Spotted Tussock Moth Caterpillar. I spent the next 10 minutes trying in vain to capture its image. It wouldn’t sit still and it reminded me of a sheep dog. It was very difficult to see its face.
Wait it’s got the same hair as Noah. I hope Noah doesn’t turn into a moth. Tami if Noah starts to weave a cocoon please call 911.
