Mole Removal

Noticed a tunnel network as I was planting the new flowers. Now some of the flowers have disappeared, this is an act of war. Did some research and it has to be a gopher, uh soon to be dead gopher. 6/12/12 – I won, but I’ll refrain from showing the corpse. If there are any …

Damn Burds

While doing yard work there were a few burds making a ruckus. So I picked up my camera and tried to shoot them. The light was horrible.

Canon 5D MK III

Just arrived today! Took it out this afternoon for a quick test but I forgot that I have to calibrate the focus with each individual lens, so the results are not so sharp.

Lazy Saturday

Today we met Aunty Amy, Cait, Chris, Tami & Noah at the Blue Dot Cafe & Coffee Bar for a late breakfast. Then we brought Aunty Amy to the local farmers market and we walked away with a carnivorous orchid which I have yet to ID. While photographing the orchid, I happened to look down …

Learning

I’m sure by now most of you are getting tired of all these duck tales. But I’m fascinated by their behavior. This morning, I fed Blondie & Chewy. Chewy is at that awkward teenager stage, half fuzz half feathers. As they were eating there was an intruder and while I was laughing and shooting at …
