The life and times of a true knucklehead – No photos to be used without permission
Today I had a photoshoot with Larissa in preparation for her Cotillion. The cloudy day made for some nice even lighting.
Today was a slow work day, so I decided to make the best of it and ran some errands. Along with getting my bloodwork done. I ate breakfast at Marti’s, went to the post office, ate lunch at Quiznos, got my oil changed & tires rotated.
While waiting 3 hours for my car I decided to walk around the Marina Village and take some photos. Can you guess what time that was?
I spent the whole weekend in Dallas and never left the Hotel. This is the only photo I took. Well actually this is composed of 6 photos.
Had a slow day today, so I ventured into downtown Alameda and had lunch at the Burger Meister on central next to the theater. The burger was huge and a bit messy, but it was delicious. I’m still belching up the taste of those garlic fries though.
One of my complaints with my G10 is the flash and its inability to bounce. Now I’ve tried a 220EX which has more power but also doesn’t bounce. Next was a 430EX which can bounce but it so heavy when I release my grip, the camera hangs upside down. Today I received a brand new Sunpak RD2000. Its extremely small and can tilt up for bouncing off the ceiling. I’ll be experimenting with this set up in the days to come.
I love colorful blown glass, so I’ve been meaning to photograph this piece from the lobby of a Mountain View Hospital. Well today is the day.
Today I ferried into the city for a Birthday dinner with Sandy at Amber India. Wow as if that ove glove wasn’t enough of a present! We started off with the Aloo Peas Samosa, Duck Tinka Kebab & an Indian Rain from the bar. For our entrees we chose Paneer Tikka Lal Mirch, Kashmiri Roganjosh, Jaipuri Bhindi, Saffron Pulao & Naan. The food was excellent, but a bit pricey.
BTW thanks to all of you who greeted me on my unadvertised birthday. It’s really no big deal, but thanks anyway.
We made a quick trip to the little carnival right off of I880, across from the Oracle Arena for some G10 nightshots.
I had nothing to do workwise today, so I had breakfast at Ole’s Waffle House then went out to the Naval Station and shot a couple of panos.
Took this nightshot at Quinn’s Lighthouse, getting ready for a photography class.
