After being down all week with the mean flu, it was great to be able to go out and see some family. Jen was nice enough to organize a birthday get together for me. Asked where I wanted to go, I thought of PJ’s Oysterbed. The 1st and last time I was there was the night I met Sandy …

Valentine’s Day
I’ve been talking about this so much lately… Sandy was nice enough to get me a bottle for V Day. Isn’t she the best! Jimi & Jim when you guys coming over? For dinner I grilled a duck… store bought not yard caught, then we watched Underdog.
Skates
Today I got together with my coworkers for an early dinner meeting at Skates. This rarely happens… in fact, it’s the 1st time. There are only three of us in Northern California. Dinner was great as usual. Of course I had to run off and shoot a panorama of the Berkeley Pier.
Havana
Since I stayed indoors all day, we decided to go out for dinner and try that new Cuban restaurant in town, Havana. Entrees were skipped in favor of tapas. We had the Twice Fried Plantains, Halibut Ceviche, Mixed Grill and Crab Cakes. Everything was excellent! Did I forget to mention the Mojitos.
Phở Weather
A rainy day like today is perfect Phở weather! So I picked up Sandy at BART and we went to our favorite Phở establishment. I got so excited I forgot to take a photograph before we devoured our meal. Here’s the aftermath.
Life On the Road

Saturday
We woke up early today and I was lucky enough to have Sandy make me Salmon Benedict. Later we worked in the backyard so neither of us felt like cooking, so we went to India Palace for dinner. We had the #2, 15, 45, 58, 65, 77 and a big Golden Eagle to wash it …
Dine About Town Vol 1
Today we decided to take advantage of San Francisco’s 7th Annual Dine About Town. We chose B44 to, “Come and take home a slice of Catalan life in Barcelona, Spain”. Of course when food & alcohol are involved… we have to invite Jim & Kelly.
Bacon Breath
Sandy passed along a photo she took of one of her coworker’s gag gifts.
Happy New Year 2008
We had a low key New Years Eve celebration. But we started 2008 started with a nice brunch. We invited Tita Nellie and Doctors Ben & Paulette over for brunch and for whatever reason we decided to serve a five-course meal. Of course I forgot to take a single photo of the dishes. I was happy everyone …
