After too many years working I finally pulled the plug and retired July 2nd, 2026. I’ve always maintained that work prevented me from pursuing my hobbies. Let’s see if that turns out to be true.

California Northern Coastal
Work took me up the coast. I stopped off in Trindad Beach and reached in my camera backpack and realized I left my camera on my desk. Therefore I had to only use my iPhone.

I rarely get to shoot anything these days so I was happy when my coworker Jon pointed out a enormous ant in the middle of the hospital lab. So I had to bring it home and shoot it.

Company Holiday Parties 2024
We had our annual Piss & Blood get together here in Alameda at Trabocco. A week later a larger one at Fieldwork in San Ramon.
Gnarly Commute
Last Friday’s commute was horrible. On the way up there was a small rock slide that blocked the 2 lane winding road. Two folks got out and cleared the large rocks. On the way home GPS took me on a very convoluted path that took 3 hours.
Rodeo Beach
Had to work at the Marina Mammal Center in Sausalito. I stopped by Rodeo Beach after the call and shot this with my iPhone.
Southern Oregon
Had to drive up to Medford, Ashland & Klamath Falls for 3 weeks now. That’s too much work and no time to take photos. Gotta bring that tripod next time. Actually I found out how to do long exposures with my iphone. I did manage to find a good brewery in Ashland. Also got to …
