Since it was such a nice day we took Mommie & Daddy to Sam’s Chowder House in Half Moon Bay for lunch. I had the Maine Lobster Roll, excellent. BTW these are the very first photos from my new camera although I forgot to set it to shoot RAW, doh!
Canon 5D Mark II
I pre-ordered it September 26. The Fed Exp guy delivered it late last night. My expectations are high.
Yankee Pier
Had a nice lunch with Jon today at Yankee Pier in Santana Row. I had the Scallop Risotto special, very yummy! Jon had some boring salad.

50th Part II
Six months after Mommie & Daddy’s Golden Wedding Anniversary party (I) in the Philippines, Auntie Puring hosted another party (II) in San Diego coinciding with the actual wedding date, December 27. I got sick so I wasn’t planning on going but it was an important party so I couldn’t miss it. It was great to see everyone. We do this way too infrequently.
BTW Sandy got a new camera for Christmas some of photos are from her new Canon SD880IS. I think they look great.
Bah Humbug
This Christmas sucked! I caught a bug and was out sick, Sandy went to visit family in San Diego and I missed the Nakamatsu Christmas Party! Enough about my woes… Hope everyone else had a Merry Christmas.
Christmas Potluck
We had a little get together tonight with Jim, Kelly Steve & Diane.
Pelicans
For some unknown reason a trio of Pelicans have decided to stake out a claim in our lagoon. They do have to contend with those pesky Cormorants though.
Vegas – Winter Wonderland
I had to go to Las Vegas on Wednesday, in what I thought would be a quick day trip. I took a jacket thinking it might be a little cold at night and wouldn’t you know it, it snowed like you wouldn’t believe (well for Vegas). All outgoing flights were canceled and I didn’t bring any clothes. Made a quick stop to Kohl’s for a new shirt, socks and brand new stiff underwear. I wanted to stay close to the airport because I had a 7:00AM flight. I ended up staying at Hooter’s Casino & Hotel. That’s be the last time I stay there. The room smelled like frying oil and it was pretty beat up.
I usually bring home the small toiletries for Sandy. She donates them to the local church. They use it at a half way house. I’ll wait and see if she donates this set.
Winter Chill
I’ve been holding out on using the heater to save a bit of money and just to see who would complain first… I lost today. Boy did Sandy give me a hard time.
