I came home today to find the living room in shambles. Apparently two ducks, one male and one female, conned Sandy into opening the front door by staging a package delivery. As soon as Sandy opened the door to pick up the box, they made their way in to steal the jar of duck food we keep in the kitchen. Alameda CSI was called and they dusted for web prints. If anyone has any information about this crime, please call 1-800-GET-DUCK, so we can rest in peace.

I’ve kept it up for two years now! Uh my blog that is… I’m still writing about my simple life and all the wonderful friends and family that surround me. Special thanks to Jim for hosting and all the IT help.

Last night we had the honor of attending Larissa’s 18th Birthday. My how time flies. I was reminded of my age when I saw the youngsters dancing and my failing eyesight when checking the settings on my camera. Luckily Sandy took some great photos that saved my butt.

Had some work in Marin so I poked around the northern part of the Golden Gate Bridge today. Of course it was around the noon hour…terrible time to shoot photos.

This year we didn’t have the advantage of having my cousin Jimi the professional chef, so we all had to step up and create a dish for our Mum’s Day 6 course brunch. After all the eating, it turned into a dog day afternoon with all the attention on Koa & Coyote Baker.

Worked at SF Gen today. Shot this right outside the entrance.

We took the ferry into San Francisco yesterday to find a doctor to fix Brian’s eyes. We gave up on that and ate at Taylor’s instead. I got my 1st chance to try out my new Canon SX200IS. I like my G10 better.

Made a quick trip to Honolulu. As usual not much time for anything other than work.

Today we celebrated Caitlin’s birthday at our home in Alameda. The sun was out but it was a bit windy so we crowded in our dining area to enjoy a meal together. We gave diners the choice of Ribeye Steak accompanied by mashed potatoes loaded with 3 cheezes and bacon, grilled asparagus, or Halibut on a bed of saffron coconut rice swimming in a bed of coconut milk with dots of rooster sauce. This was followed by Croissant Bread Pudding with bourbon caramel sauce for desert. Happy Birthday, Cait!
