One of the joys of January is waiting til mid month to buy a calendar. While they only cost $4.99 the selection is pretty uh…slim. So tonight while we were at Longs I got my hands on my 2008 calendar, which I will enjoy all year.
We woke up early today and I was lucky enough to have Sandy make me Salmon Benedict.
Later we worked in the backyard so neither of us felt like cooking, so we went to India Palace for dinner. We had the #2, 15, 45, 58, 65, 77 and a big Golden Eagle to wash it all down.
Of course we make sure we order enough so we have plenty to take home. We’ll add chicken & lamb so we can enjoy it all week.
Today we decided to take advantage of San Francisco’s 7th Annual Dine About Town. We chose B44 to, “Come and take home a slice of Catalan life in Barcelona, Spain”. Of course when food & alcohol are involved… we have to invite Jim & Kelly.
Tonight we met at Poleng for a surprise birthday party for Tami, set up by Chris. We went there early for dinner. The food was great as was the service. I’m gonna have to try and duplicate the Grilled Pork and Pineapple special.
Tonight Mommy & Daddy left for the Philippines. It was a nice visit!
Sandy passed along a photo she took of one of her coworker’s gag gifts.
Judy has made a New Year resolution to become more social and not be such a fraiddy cat!
We had a low key New Years Eve celebration. But we started 2008 started with a nice brunch. We invited Tita Nellie and Doctors Ben & Paulette over for brunch and for whatever reason we decided to serve a five-course meal. Of course I forgot to take a single photo of the dishes. I was happy everyone seemed to enjoy the meal and no one got diarrhea.
Today Daddy wanted to go wine tasting in Napa. I got a recommendation to try a famous restaurant in Rutherford but by the time we got there it was an hour wait. So we drove down the road and ended up at “Go Fish“. The food and service were excellent. I loved the sturgeon, the roasted banana rum ice cream sandwich was to die for.
Our bellies were so full after that we scrubbed the wine tasting and drove home.
