The life and times of a true knucklehead – No photos to be used without permission
Still another gloomy day. I spent the morning trying to record one of my favorite songs, Wahine Ilikea, on my 4 track recorder. Man this is tough. Just when you think that your voice isn’t all that bad… you record it. Holy smoke, I need some vocal lessons!
I also worked on my Nakamastu Christmas Gag Gift, which I can’t reveal til after the Christmas Party.
Finally we went to one of our favorite restaurants, Angel Fish, for some well-deserved sushi.
Another wet day. I had great aspirations about this vacation, driving all over Northern California taking billions of photos.
I did start on the layout of my gag gift, more on that later.
I then started to work on a musical recording.
I finished the day with a trip to the grocery store to make a batch of seafood chowder for Sandy’s arrival home… I didn’t realize that was gonna be at 9:00PM!
It’s wet and gloomy out, so I’ve spent the entire morning chasing the coots outta our backyard. Now I’ve got green coot crap all over my shoes.
Been working on my duck confit skills lately. It’s very time consuming, but worth it.
I slept in today after a long night at Applebee’s. I was awaken by Sandy’s clanking around in the kitchen preparing lunch. I’m so lucky!
Tonight we visited downtown Livermore to see Jon play at the newly constructed Bankhead Theater. Needless to say the Jon’s performance was incredible. Afterwards we drove around for miles looking for a place that was open for a dinner at 11:45. We finally ended up at an Applebee’s. I had the three mini bacon cheeseburgers and Sandy had the triple chocolate meltdown! What a glamorous lifestyle Jon leads.
Today we hooked up with our friend Peg Anderson for lunch at the local Round Table Pizza.
After what seemed like forever, our backyard project is finally complete. Of course I forgot to take a “before shot”. Regardless, where Sandy is standing used to be an ugly patch of weeds and dirt.
Wait…I did manage to find a “before shot”.
This year, we had Thanksgiving dinner at Jennifer and Rick’s. The food was excessive and delicious. As usual, I spent too much time eating & laughing so only a few pix were taken.
This morning we visited one of our favorite breakfast spots, Ole’s Waffle Shop. The line is usually long… for good reason. Great waffles!
