We’re going Downtown
One of our favorite wineries, Navarro paired up with Downtown Restaurant in Berkeley. This is the second Navarro sponsored dinner event we’ve attended. The food was excellent and we love Navarro wine! Of course we had to invite Jim, Kelly & Julie.

Lunch with a view
Today I did some work over at the San Francisco VA. During my lunch break I went to Le Cafe’ then up to the Legion of Honor. This was my view while I munched on a Vietnamese grilled pork sandwich, chips & a regular coke, not that diet crap.

Workaholic
Sandy has been working long and hard recently so I decided to make her some comfort food for dinner tonight… Chicken Pot Pie. Uh ok actually it’s my comfort food. Regardless she liked it!
In My Youth
This morning I spotted a caterpillar by the rose bush and it reminded me of when I first started photography in the 7th grade. I couldn’t drive anywhere, so everything I shot was in the backyard. Needless to say I took a large number of bug shots.

Mr. Mean Duck
Since we feed the ducks everyday, I’ve noticed there has emerged a bully. This mean duck will attack any other duck that goes for the food. Nothing serious, just a tug on the wing or behind the neck. Sandy doesn’t like all this duck violence. We’re looking for a duck psychologist to get him some therapy.
Bay Area Panorama
On the way home from Steve’s Birthday Party, I noticed the view from Grizzly Peak road and I knew I’d have to revisit it. So today on my way back home from Concord I decided to drive up there to check it out. Mind you it was approximately 4:00PM and the conditions were not ideal. Perhaps I’ll try again during the early morning hours with my 5D.

Last night in Hotel California
Freda arrived in SFO today fresh from her trip to visit Alex in Korea. Upon arrival, she demanded to be taken to Goldilocks… I think she had to stock up on munchies. Thanks for the gifts of Korean tea, Spam, pottery and the shirt. Sadly, everyone is leaving for South Carolina tomorrow. We’ll miss them dearly. Please remember, you checkout anytime you like, but you can never leave.
UC Berkeley
Since Tawny is out here college shopping, we asked Tami give us a personal tour of the UC Berkeley campus. I had no idea of the size of the campus. I was so tired from walking we had to eat at Raleighs.
Happy Birthday Steve
Steve invited us to a joint birthday celebration today at Tilden Park. We hardly knew anyone, but warm and friendly is always the M.O. at Steve’s parties.
Of course Steve doesn’t act like your typical 60 year old, but that’s why we love him.
