The life and times of a true knucklehead – No photos to be used without permission
This afternoon we went to Jack London Square to Pedalfest.

Earlier I got the new 600EX-RT flash, which can be controlled via radio waves rather than the infrared light of the old. Well the ST-E3-RT transmitter finally arrived 4 months later. Does this mean I can finally get rid of my Pocket Wizards and travel lighter?

I decided to use Judy as my model since she’s not union so I don’t have to pay her much. She eats like a burd.
Last night we went to the Mountain Winery to see Heart perform. The show was excellent.

We spent the weekend in LA on a mixed family adventure.

We visited Tawny’s neighborhood (Freda was in town) and had breakfast at the Alcove Cafe.

Later that evening we met up my niece Bethany for her exposure to Filipino food via Gerry’s Grill.

Sunday was Cuban brunch at Versailles in Manhattan Beach.

A couple of new finds at Marukai in Gardena.

After dinner I noticed the Egret was shopping for his dinner too, so I decided to shoot em.

Finally we get to meet Silent T Jader. How on earth do I get a newborn to pose? Congratulations you two.

It’s been multiple years I must be doing something right.

We had a great time in Lake Tahoe. The weekend started off with a killer breakfast by Jimi. Cheese omelets with a morel mushroom sauce, fruit, spicy sausage, biscuits … and I didn’t take a single photo.
Jimi had to work so Amy took us on a hike to Winnemucca Lake with a stop over at Frog Lake.

After an afternoon of hiking we hit the Burger Lounge. Sandy & Amy had the black n blue (blacken cajun style with blue cheese) while I had the hangover burger (bacon, cheese and fried egg).
This was followed by a very short photoshoot at Kiva Beach. We literally had minutes before we lost the sun.
Sunday morning ritual: coffee, camera, wait for something to move and shoot it.

Ok there were only 3 rabbits but I made a composite to add some depth to this story.
We had brunch at the Chop Bar yesterday because I just had to try the Baconized Bloody Mary. We met Jim & Kelly who live right above, and so it was very convenient for them. Since there was bacon involved, I invited Chris & Tami. Of course everyone loved Noah.
