A while back I ferried in and had dinner with Sandy at the Marketbar. The small plates were excellent.
Blog Down
Got the latest version of Photoshop but it will not let me login so the blog is temporarily stalled til I can get that resolved.
Fixed… I’m back online.
Unan Kaso
We received a lovely gift from my SIL Pinky. Matching pillow cases!
Geo
The bad thing about having visitors is they can be such a pain in the ass (just joking). The nice thing about having visitors is it gives me an excuse to take portraits. Tonight I shot my nephew Geo on the basketball courts.
Alameda Asians
Today we visited out local shopping center to take part in the Alameda Asian Pacific Islander Cultural Festival. Amongst the entertainment there was food. The light at noon was of course horrible but I have no control of that as usual.
Last Friday
We had a great time last Friday unfortunately I didn’t bring a camera so I can’t provide any images. We wanted to do some research for Mother’s Day so Sandy made reservations at Cafe’ Jacqueline in Telegraph Hill. This restaurant specializes in souffles both savory & dessert. They were big enough for 2 so we had to agree. We ended up dining on a brie & broccoli souffle and for dessert a peach souffle. While this was not a fast meal by any means the dinner was incredible. I have to say it was helpful in making Mother’s Day dessert.
Next we drove to AT&T Park to watch Roger Water’s The Wall. I wish I would have brought my camera the visuals were spectacular.
Plants
Aunty Amy & Aunty Janet brought us a pair of lovely plants last Sunday. I thought I would photograph them before I kill them (unintentionally of course).
Mother’s Day 2012
Mum’s Day as usual was in play over here. This year’s theme: French. Champagne, cheese, nicoise salad, shrimp bisque, foie gras, steak au poivre & chocolate souffle.
Noah’s Big One
Today was a momentous event as Noah turned 1 year old. We all met at the Hukilau in San Jose to celebrate the occasion.
Pole Dancer
As I shoot events I’ve grown tired of the flash atop the camera look. While in San Diego I shot exclusively with an off-camera Photoflex softbox via pocket wizard mounted to a monopod. While everyone laughed at the sight of Sandy shadowing me in what they called a “pole”, the results were very pleasing to me. Oddly everyone wanted to hold the pole!
